I would say I've been creative even before I knew what creativity was. In my elementary days I used to write short-stories for my parents (got some printer paper and made the whole shebang), in middle school I picked up my first camera and designed the school yearbook, in high school, my attention went toward photography and videography. Then sometime during 2020, graphic designing took hold of me. All my life, I've been fascinated by art and have a deep appreciation for the soul-work it demands from us. I just think it's so cool that as artists we turn ideations into creations!
If you were to ask me what my ultimate goal is in life, it's this:
To leave this world better than I found it.
I'm a firm believer that God has given me gifts to be of service to others. This gift of creativity -- which I believe is given to everybody in different ways -- is meant to be shared and cultivated so that we can bring light to the world. Let's be real, life can really suck sometimes. But creativity has the power to reframe our mindsets; shift our perspectives; and guide us to find joy amidst the chaos.
Simply being a vessel of creativity is mind-blowing.
Day-to-day, you can probably find me working on the next reel for news, editing wedding videos, running around taking photos, indulging in the next kdrama, chatting with teens about their faith life, or learning how to use something through youtube tutorials with a cup of beer or coffee in my hand.
